I was born and raised in Seguin, Texas, where I developed a strong ability to play golf in tough Texas winds. I moved to California during grade school and competed on the highly competitive California junior golf circuit, including playing in the Junior World Championship in San Diego.

I continued my golf career at Cuyamaca College as a member of the golf team and later earned my B.S. in Recreation Administration from San Diego State University. I went on to play professional golf throughout Southern California while working for many years at a local San Diego golf course.

After my professional playing career, I transitioned into teaching and have been a golf teaching professional for over 20 years, including more than 12 years at Riverwalk Learning Center. The most rewarding part of teaching for me is student satisfaction, and I truly enjoy watching my students grow and improve both on the range and on the course.
